Tis the Season...

What are your ambitions and goals for 2023? Its that time of year again when we are all busting our asses off to finish the year and start fresh..Some are baking up a storm and others are shopping to find that perfect gift! I personally have had a really weird year. Being a wedding and family photographer, means that I am super busy in the spring, summer and fall, and I do not get to see my friends and family very much because I spend an enormous time on my computer.. you don't see that part of my life because I only post the glamorous stuff on social media.. Im definitely not complaining because I have so many wonderful clients and my soon to be husband is 100 percent supportive! I am one of those people who love to stay busy and I am super grateful for this life because I can pick and choose my schedule to a point...My dog Georgia gets a couple walks a day and she loves me being home..Shawn loves dinners being made everyday (mostly) lol...

Our winters are spent traveling with friends and family and January 2023, Shawn and I getting married in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and most of our family will be on the same beach all at the same time, and really spend some quality time together. We did, however, have a sudden death in our family in November and it has been devastating in so many ways... my daughter lost her husband and best friend. There are good days and bad days of course, but its the little things that crush my soul...Her wedding song "Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs" #lukecombs comes on the radio and I turn into a hotmess...pulling out all the Christmas decorations and his name on his stocking...the canvas wedding photo on my wall....the framed photo on our side table was one of the first photos I took of them together...the random photos in my phone when I used to visit them in Vancouver...

I always say that I can't write things because I never know what to say and it was Hailey that told me to just write what I feel...so here I am fucking crying my eyes out... #overdoseawareness #fuckdrugs www.islandhealth.ca
